The bottom opening avoids the destruction of the cocoons or their nests.
The vents have been designed for optimal air circulation while maintaining good humidity and avoiding excessive condensation. They are perfectly drosoproof and do not allow any leakage.
Be careful, make sure that the size of the box is adequate for the stage of your Phidippus. Indeed, a young Phidippus will find it difficult to feed in a box that is too big. This can cause losses.
