Terms of Sales

Clause 1: Purpose and scope

These General Conditions of Sale (GTC) are the basis of commercial negotiations and are systematically sent or handed over to each buyer to enable him to place an order.

The General Conditions of Sale described below detail the rights and obligations of 8LegsBox and its customer in connection with the sale of the following commodities: animal rearing equipment and arthropods.

Any acceptance of the order including the clause "I acknowledge having read and I accept the attached general conditions of sale" implies the buyer’s unconditional adherence to these general conditions of sale.

Clause 2: Price

The prices of the goods sold are those in force on the day of the order taking. They are denominated in euros and calculated excluding taxes.

8LegsBox grants itself the right to change its rates at any time. However, it undertakes to invoice the ordered goods at the prices indicated at the time of the registration of the order.

Clause 3: Discounts and rebates

The proposed rates include discounts and rebates that 8LegsBox would be required to grant given its results or the buyer’s assumption of certain services.

Clause 4: Terms of Payment

Payment of orders is made:

by credit card;
or by PayPal
or by bank transfer

Clause 5: Delivery

Delivery is made:

by the direct delivery of the goods to the buyer;
by sending a notice of availability in store to the buyer;
by depositing the goods at the place indicated by the buyer on the purchase order.

The delivery time indicated during the registration of the order is only indicative and is not guaranteed.

Consequently, any reasonable delay in the delivery of the products may not give rise to the benefit of the buyer to:

the allocation of damages
cancellation of the order.

The entire transport risk is borne by the purchaser.

In the event of missing or damaged goods during transport, the buyer must make all necessary reservations on the purchase order upon receipt of said goods. In addition, these reservations must be confirmed in writing within five days of delivery by registered AR mail addressed to the company.

Clause n° 6 : Warranty

The arrival of your products in good condition and your animals alive is guaranteed by 8LegsBox.

To exercise this right of guarantee, you have 48 hours after receipt to report it. For the live guarantee to be valid, you must photograph the dead animal in the box with the guarantee adhesive intact.

Apart from these conditions, 8LegsBox reserves the right to refuse your warranty claim.

Clause n° 7 : Pictures

Products whose photo is indicated as non-contractual in the description cannot be the subject of any complaint. Since the decorations are handmade, each of them is unique.

Clause n° 8: Force majeure

The liability of 8LegsBox cannot be implemented if the non-performance or delay in the performance of one of its obligations described in these general conditions of sale results from a case of force majeure. As such, force majeure means any external, unforeseeable and irresistible event within the meaning of Article 1148 of the Civil Code.

Clause n° 9: Court of Competent Jurisdiction

Any dispute relating to the interpretation and execution of these general conditions of sale is subject to French law.

In the absence of an amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the Commercial Court of Lille.
